NOIP CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETING HELD

The Central Committee Meeting of NOIP was held on 26-06-2011 at BMS Office, Pune. Shri S L Burman, President, NOIP presided over the meeting. Shri C Y Kalele, GS, NOIP and Shri A J Joshi, Working President, NOIP were also on the Dias. Shri S D Kulkarni, President, Maharashtra State BMS graced the meeting and guided it. Apart from the above dignitaries 14 CC Members attended the meeting.

Shri C Y Kalele, Shri A J Joshi and Shri V W Bapat reported in detail the meeting NOIP had with Central Office officials and the court-case of Pensioners. The Management has filed a Special Leave Petition in Supreme Court on 21-04-2011. It was unanimously decided that since no fresh points are there for argument before SC, there is no need for NOIP to join as a party to the case at this juncture. It was reported that when Shri Baijnathji Rai, GS, BMS visited Central Office of LIC and met Chairman, he raised the issues of Pensioners. He again wrote letters in May to LIC Chairman and Finance Ministry on the issues of Pensioners and urged them to settle them amicably and early. The house noted with satisfaction the progress made by NOIP on the Organisational front. Each and every participant reported the activities conducted by them and assured to increase the membership and collect donations. Shri Burman narrated the efforts made by him and how he was able to increase the membership in the North. The house decided to participate in large numbers in the Dharna in front of Parliament on 1st August 2011 and in the BMS rally on 23-11-2011. Next CC meeting will be held at New Delhi on 22-11-2011.

Shri S D Kulkarni in his speech called upon youngsters between age 58 and 65 to be more active in the Organisation and work to strengthen the hands of NOIP. He said that BMS has already Unions amongst Class I Officers, Class III & IV employees, the Pensioners and the Agents in LIC. He expressed confidence that it is BMS and BMS affiliated Unions in LIC which will have a say in the matters concerning Officers, Employees and Agents. He called upon the members present to enroll retired Development Officers as life members of NOIP. Shri S D Kulkarni also announced the induction of Shri C T Joshi from Belgaum as Vice President of NOIP and Shri R B Kulkarni from Bijapur as CC member.

The meeting came to an end with vote of thanks by Shri Burmanji.
